Paying a deposit (owner)
When a facility requires a security deposit, it arrives as its own invoice. Here’s how to pay it and where to see it afterward.
When a facility requires a security deposit, you’ll receive it as its own invoice by email — separate from your other charges. It works like paying any invoice.
To pay
- Open the invoice from the email link, or go to your Billing tab, where the deposit appears as its own “Security Deposit” line and as a row in your Invoices list.
- Select Pay Now.
- Choose your payment method — bank transfer (ACH) or credit/debit card. See Payment methods: ACH vs. card. Bank transfers typically take 3–5 business days to complete.
- Confirm the payment.
Deposits are billed separately
Security deposits are billed and paid separately from your other invoices — the Pay All option in your Billing tab covers your regular invoices only, so the deposit is paid on its own.
Where you’ll see it
Once paid, the invoice shows as Paid in your Billing tab, and the amount held appears on your horse’s details page under Security Deposit. While a bank transfer is still completing, the amount shows with a “(Pending)” note.
Your deposit is not a charge for services — it’s held and returned to you when you leave, unless there are outstanding amounts owed at that point. See What a security deposit is and how it’s held for how it works.
