Refunds and partial refunds on deposits
Your deposit can be returned in full or in part, depending on what’s owed at settlement — here’s what each case looks like.
Your deposit can be returned in full or in part, depending on what’s owed when your account is settled at move-out.
- Full refund: nothing is owed, so your entire deposit is returned.
- Partial refund: some of your deposit is applied to outstanding charges, and the remainder is returned. Your settlement statement itemizes exactly what was applied and why, and the refund of the remainder appears on your invoice history like any other refund.
- Nothing returned: if charges match or exceed the deposit, the statement shows it settled to zero — and any charges beyond the deposit arrive as a separate invoice.
How the refund arrives
A deposit paid online is refunded to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days of settlement. A deposit the facility holds outside Stables is returned to you directly by check or cash, and recorded with a reference. See Move-out and settlement for the full picture, and Refunds: how they work for general refund timing.
Where to check on a partial refund
Your settlement statement is the itemized record: it lists each charge applied to the deposit and the amount returned. The refund itself shows on the related invoice’s history as an online refund or an offline credit.
