Direct booking: how it works
One flow, two sides: the client requests a time from your booking page, and you approve, reschedule, or decline.
Direct booking connects a client (or any visitor) to a provider’s real availability. The client requests a time; the provider confirms it. Nothing is final until the provider approves.
Requesting (client side)
- Open the provider’s booking page - every provider has a public booking link, and owners can find their past providers under Service Providers with a Book button.
- Pick a service and select Book now.
- Choose a date and time from the provider’s open slots. Group sessions show how many spots are left.
- Enter your details - name, email, phone, and optionally which horse - and any notes.
- Submit. For pay-later services the button reads Request Appointment and payment is collected at time of service. For services requiring upfront authorization, you’ll Authorize & Request - a temporary hold that expires in 24 hours; you won’t be charged unless the provider confirms.
You’ll see “Request Sent!” and get an email confirmation. Your request shows as Pending approval until the provider responds.
Approving (provider side)
Requests arrive in your Appointments tab under the Pending filter. Each request offers three choices: Approve & Confirm, Reschedule (suggest a different time), or Decline (with a reason). Requests with payment authorization show a “Payment authorized” note.
Statuses both sides see
Pending Approval → Scheduled (confirmed) → Completed. Other states: Cancelled, Declined, Reschedule Requested (the client sees “Action required”), and Rescheduled.
