Your lessons report

The lessons report sits on the Lessons tab and on the Overview tab of Finances → Reports. It counts the lessons you mark complete and the riders you mark as no-shows, so on the Lessons tab it stays hidden until you have one of either. Its one-line summary reads like “12 lessons · 38 riders · $1,520.00”, with credits used and no-shows added when there are some.

What it shows

• Lessons taught - completed lessons in the period.
• Riders - how many rider spots those lessons filled.
• Riders per week - those riders averaged over the weeks that had lessons, so quiet weeks don’t pull it down.
• Revenue - what those lessons brought in, plus missed lessons that were still paid for. A lesson paid with a credit or completed with no charge adds nothing.

Underneath, a table breaks the same period down by lesson type, with lessons, riders, credits used and revenue per type - which is how you see whether the group lessons or the privates are carrying the program.

Below that, three more lists:

• Who taught - each instructor’s lessons, riders and no-shows. Lessons nobody was assigned to teach come last, as “No instructor”.
• Lesson horses - riders taught on each lesson horse, lessons per working day, and the busiest day. If a horse has a daily limit, the busiest day shows against it.
• Didn’t show - riders who missed a lesson in the period, most often first.

On the Lessons tab you choose the period: Last 30 days, Last 90 days or Last year. In Finances → Reports it follows that page’s period. In the app, the Lessons screen shows the last 90 days.
