The lesson waitlist
A full lesson keeps a line. When a spot opens it is held for the first person for 24 hours, then passes to the next.
When a lesson time on your public page is full, riders see “This time is full - join the waitlist”. They give their name, email, and optionally who is riding, and are told their position: “You’re first in line.”
How a spot is offered
- A spot is held for the person it was offered to for 24 hours - or until the lesson starts, whichever comes first.
- While an offer stands, the lesson still reads as full to everyone else. The held spot is not up for grabs.
- If the offer isn’t taken in time, it lapses and passes to the next person in line automatically.
Managing the line
Open the lesson and the waitlist appears under the roster, in order, with a summary line like “2 waiting · 1 offered a spot”. Each person waiting has an Offer spot button, so you can hand out a spot yourself rather than waiting for a cancellation, and a remove button to take someone out of the line.
Joining the waitlist is not a booking
Nobody on the waitlist is on the roster and nobody is charged. A place only becomes a booking when the spot is taken.
