Claimed listings and the Verified badge
Why some facilities show as Verified in search, and what to do if your barn appears in the directory but you don’t run its listing.
The badges you’ll see
When searching for facilities, listings carry a badge that tells you how the facility participates:
- Verified — the facility runs on Stables and has published its listing publicly. Its details are maintained by the facility itself.
- External / Directory — the facility appears from public directory data but isn’t actively managed on Stables.
Getting the Verified badge for your facility
Set up your facility on Stables and set your Directory Listing to Public (see Managing your facility’s directory listing). When you create your facility, an existing directory entry for your barn is taken over by your account rather than duplicated.
If your barn shows up in the directory with details you can’t edit, or you believe someone else controls your facility’s listing, contact support@stables.co and we’ll sort out ownership.
