Will attend / Can’t attend: answering a lesson email

Your lesson reminder asks if you’re coming. One click tells the barn - no sign-in needed.

When a barn adds you to a lesson, and again the evening before it, you get an email asking “Will you attend?” with three buttons: Will attend, Can’t attend and View lesson details. They work without signing in, so a parent booking for a child can answer straight from their inbox.

Will attend

The page opens with “See you there”, and the barn sees you as confirmed on the lesson. You can change your mind later with Can’t attend, from the same email.

Can’t attend

The page asks you once more before anything happens, because this cancels your spot. Once you confirm:

  • You’re taken off the lesson and the barn is told.
  • What you paid goes back exactly as if you had cancelled from My Appointments: a lesson credit comes back, a card hold is released, and a card payment is refunded or becomes a lesson credit, depending on the barn’s policy. The page says which.
  • Your spot is offered to the first person on the waitlist.

Can’t attend only works until the barn’s free-cancel window closes, shown when you booked. After that, the page tells you to contact the barn.

Keeping track of your lessons

If you don’t have a Stables account yet, the page and the emails offer to make a free one with the email the barn has for you. Your lessons at that barn are already in it, and you can see every lesson, change a time, and keep your horses’ records in one place. If you already have an account, See my lessons takes you to My Appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to answer?
No, but it helps the barn plan. If you don’t answer, the barn sees you as not confirmed yet and you keep your spot.
The link says the booking can’t be confirmed any more. Why?
The lesson has started or already happened, or your booking changed - the barn moved or cancelled it. Contact the barn.
How long do the links work?
Until two weeks after the lesson.
