About Wine Country Trails Ranch

Wine Country Trails by Horseback offers guided horseback rides through the vineyards of Temecula Valley Wine Country. Founded and operated by local resident Diana Lefort, the business draws on her more than three decades of horse experience to give visitors a relaxed, memorable way to explore the area with knowledgeable guides.

Horse rescue and rehabilitation are central to its mission. With assistance from a local veterinarian, Diana has helped rehabilitate more than 50 horses, providing care on a 20-acre ranch in Temecula Valley. Proceeds from rides support feed, veterinary treatment, and farrier services, helping the ranch continue caring for horses in need.

Through natural horsemanship and individualized training, the team helps rescued horses rebuild their health and prepare for suitable roles. Each horse is evaluated before joining the vineyard trail program. Those better suited to a different home are placed with carefully screened owners through a thorough interview process.

For visitors, a ride with Wine Country Trails by Horseback offers both a chance to experience Temecula’s vineyard scenery and an opportunity to support the horses behind the experience.
