San Pasqual Valley Ranch is a 28-acre horse boarding and training facility serving Western and English riders of all experience levels. With spacious stalls, multiple lighted arenas, professional training programs and direct access to scenic riding trails, the ranch provides a well-maintained environment for horses and riders to learn, train and compete.
Western Horse Boarding
Western boarding options include 24' × 24' box stalls starting at $535 per month and 12' × 36' in-and-out barn stalls starting at $640 per month. In-and-out stalls include shavings and an automatic fly-spray system. Horses are fed twice daily, stalls are cleaned every day and automatic waterers are provided.
The ranch’s English boarding facilities feature spacious 24' × 24' box stalls in a beautiful setting. Horses are fed twice daily, stalls are cleaned twice daily and each stall includes an automatic waterer. Shavings and other footing materials are supplied as needed.
English riders have access to a lighted 105' × 210' sand arena, a 60' × 90' riding arena, wash racks and tack boxes. Arenas are regularly groomed with modern equipment to provide dependable footing for everyday riding, lessons and competition preparation.
Western and English Riding Lessons
San Pasqual Valley Ranch offers horseback riding lessons “from beginners to winners.” New riders can learn basic horsemanship and riding fundamentals in a comfortable, controlled setting. Depending on the rider’s experience, lessons may take place in one of the ranch’s arenas or smaller round pens. Riders can take lessons on their own horse or, when available, one provided by the ranch.
More experienced equestrians can receive personalized instruction focused on improving riding technique, communication and overall performance with their horses.
The ranch’s progressive four-step programs help riders develop cattle-working and roping skills in manageable stages. The roping program advances from practicing on a stationary roping stand to working with a horse-and-dummy setup, a mechanical steer and eventually live cattle. The penning program progresses from basic cattle-handling skills to cutting, sorting and team penning.
English riders can participate in beginner hunter/jumper and dressage lessons. The ranch also periodically offers weeklong children’s horse camps for young riders interested in learning the fundamentals of riding and horse care.
Professional Horse Training
Horse training services range from starting young horses to finishing, conditioning and tuning experienced performance horses. Programs are tailored to each horse’s current abilities and the rider’s goals, helping create a more capable, responsive and confident horse-and-rider partnership.
