About Rancho Vista Stables
Rancho Vista Stables offers horse boarding, riding lessons, and horse training in Vista, California. With tree-shaded grounds and a small, relaxed barn setting, the property provides a welcoming place for owners to spend time with their horses, whether schooling in the arena or enjoying a trail ride.
Boarding accommodations combine a 12-by-12-foot enclosed barn stall with an attached 12-by-24-foot covered outdoor corral. This connected layout allows horses to move freely between indoor shelter and outdoor space. Automatic waterers, fans, and misters are additional features of the stalls.
The boarding program emphasizes attention to each horse’s needs within a smaller equine community. Standard care includes daily stall cleaning, one bag of shavings per week, and three daily feedings of alfalfa and/or Bermuda hay. Owners can arrange additional services such as blanketing, fly-mask care, turnout, supplements, extra bedding, and a second daily stall cleaning.
Boarders have access to an arena, turnout space, a trail, wash rack, tack room, and bathroom. These amenities bring riding, exercise, grooming, and equipment storage together on the property, supporting the everyday routines of horse ownership.
Horseback riding lessons focus on foundational skills for beginners and riders returning to the saddle, with particular attention to body mechanics and relaxation. Horse training incorporates groundwork, balance, and preparation for ridden work, with options for young horses, horses being restarted, and those needing help with tension or spookiness. Developing clearer communication between horse and handler is also central to the program.
